This is the best day ever.

First - Chris Baker is filling in for Glenn Beck this morning. I haven't heard Chris Baker since he was doing an afternoon drive show in KC about 10 years ago.


Second...
There has been an organized attempt to get advertisers to pull their ads from Talk Radio, most notable Glenn Beck. It has so far worked. There are hundreds of posts on digg.com and reddit.com extolling the virtues of this "boycott" campaign. They believe that if a talk show host says something inflammatory or contrary to their belief, or damaging to their party then they should take action to silence said host. This tactic employs the art of getting advertisers to pull ads. The result should cause Fox to back down and silence Glenn, Hannity, O'Reilly, etc.

"Defenders of Glenn Beck: Listen, this is important. The right to free speech means you can say what you want whenyou want to (with a few limitations). It DOES NOT mean that you can say what you want when you want to, and expect the public and the corporate worlds to not shout back"
Well, yesterday a young redditer posted something that Sears did not like. So what did Sears do?

It reads:
"*** Sears: they forced Reddit to remove a post mocking them, presumable under the thread of withdrawing advertising. Please upvote, then submit your own "*** Sears" post to keep the dream alive"
They are now mad at Sears for threatening to pull advertising from the site because something was said on the site that Sears does not like....

Best day ever.

I'm not sure what is more funny:
Taking their own medicine and not liking it or failing to recognize that Reddit, whome they live and die by pulled the post, selling out to the corporate world they hate soooo much.

Eat that, internet!
