Why Apple?

In the interest of not saying anything at all, I decided to tackle a subject that gathers quite a bit if debate in the nerd sectors of society. Why Apple. This question as created a "Hatfield v. McCoy" type feud that continues to rage in the souls of dorks everywhere.

Why Apple is a broad brush that can only be explained if it is broken down to its core planks. First of all, who buys an Apple Computer (MAC)?

The Mac can be seen in the hands of just about any college age kid, activists, hippies, hollywood, and politicians. Why? The computer is overpriced. Part for part, it is the same as the PC you are using to read this post. What sets the Apple computer apart is its operating system. But why would the elites need something that is simple enough for any idiot to use? Easy. The answer is green.

Yes the Mac is green. So green in fact that Greenpeace endorses it as the green-est computer ever. As a matter of fact, Al Gore sits on the board of directors. Get the picture? Is it all coming clear now? Like the prius, the Mac is an overpriced symbol of environmental status. The Mac is an expression of love for mother earth and a badge of honor for filthy hippies everywhere.

Confession time. I am typing this on a Mac (sort of). My Mac resides in a Dell mini. Take that, hippies!
